Southern in The City is a true story that spans two decades about a small town Tennessee girl visiting New York City. Janna Herbison first experienced the Big Apple at age 14, when she met a host of celebrities including John Travolta, and fell in love with the world of Broadway. Years later, she traveled to The City often during her 20's and 30's and once attended six job interviews over two days in an attempt to actually become a New Yorker. Janna Herbison is a former televison news reporter and press secretary for the Tennessee General Assembly. She currenty works as a communications consultant. Herbison resides in Memphis, Tenn. with her husband and two sons. |
